Criffel Station is so much more than a standalone event space. Our numerous exclusive locations and experienced events team bring superb high country hospitality to events of all kinds including Special Occasions, Meetings & Conferences or Health & Wellness, capacity ranging from 5 to 500 attendees. Additionally, we have an extensive range of items available for hire including tables with rustic wooden table tops, seats for up to 170 guests, beautiful props and numerous giant lawn games.

Nothing beats the relaxed feeling provided by our idyllic Wanaka events venue. With multiple venues, including our lovingly converted, authentic Criffel Station Woolshed. Criffel Station provides a charming location with an undeniable character to ensure an outstanding event.

The Station

The station spanning 2,000 hectares of rugged farmland with native bush, authentic farm buildings, natural water features and tracks. Integrating One Health principles across all businesses aiming to provide a healthy and balanced ecosystem for our people, land, water and animals, and preserve the exceptional high country environment in which Criffel Station exists. It is under these principles that we operate our numerous event venues, and hosting our guests in a way that is in harmony with a pristine natural environment. Our extensive on-site facilities include our four Wanaka event space’s – The Criffel Woolshed, Stone Hut Terrace, Henrys Hut or The Kanuka Grove. Many featuring stunning views, spanning from Roys Peak to Lake Hawea.

This harmony and balance are achieved through continuous emphasis being placed on indoor-outdoor flow to offer your guests an unforgettable experience in an open-air setting. Our unique venues will provide your guests with an unparalleled feeling of exclusivity at your private function, special day, meeting, conference or corporate event. The numerous venue’s “blank canvases” nature allows for the creation of unique, versatile indoor and outdoor configurations, floor to ceiling customisation, including the forming of break out or multiple function room’s. 

The Options

Over the past 20 years, we have developed and expanded our offering to provide our clients with both standard and bespoke staff options. As a result, the degree of support from our in house event planners for the entirety of your event, the choice is yours.

Criffel Catering provides numerous in house catering options including canapes and cocktail function style finger food, farm-style seated dinner and lunch options or tailored homemade gourmet hampers – perfect for a more intimate affair perhaps at Henrys Hut. Alternatively, through our long history operating an event and function venue within the Central Otago region, we have acquired a wealth of knowledge of local suppliers and a handpicked group of professional coaches and experts.
